Students are allowed to wear their Halloween Costumes to school on Thursday, October 31st.
Students are not allowed to wear masks during the school day, but can bring them to wear during the parade.
Please no excessive face paint or makeup. Please no accessories to their costume.

TOMORROW! We hope you are as excited about the Halloween Fall Festival as we are! It begins at 4:30 and the costume contest begins at 6:30


Hawkins County Schools Family Resource Center is hosting a food and hygiene drive at the upcoming football game between Cherokee and Volunteer on October 25, 2024, at Volunteer High School. The drive aims to support local Hawkins County families in need by collecting essential items.
The first 100 fans for each team to donate will receive a complimentary rubber wristband in their school colors.
Donations can include non-perishable food items (canned spaghetti, mac and cheese, peanut butter and crackers, ramen noodles, cereal, etc.) and/or hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotions, cleaning supplies, etc.).


Don't forget our Halloween Fall Festival will be on Thursday, October 24th, starting at 4:30-6:30. The costume contest will begin at 6:30. The entry fee for the contest is $5.00. Prizes will be awarded! We hope you can join us for this exciting, spooky evening!


Joseph Rogers offers and after-school program through the YMCA. The hours are 3 p.m - 6 p.m. We offer enrichment lessons, snack, opportunities for family engagement and plenty of physical activities. Hawkins County Schools will be open tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd. We will be opening 1 hour late. Our doors will open at 8:15. We are so excited to see our Bear Cubs.

Lunch will be served at JRP on Wednesday, October 2nd from 10:30-12:30. It will be drive through and pick up. All children ages 0-18 may receive a meal. It is first come, first serve.


Kindergarten has canceled their field trip that was scheduled for Friday, October 4th.


The first grade field trip scheduled for Thursday, October 3rd has been canceled.


Hawkins Co. Schools: Hawkins County Schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, October 1, 2024. We will continue to monitor area conditions through EMA, 911, and the electrical power companies.

Our doors will be open tomorrow from 8-3 as a charging station. Please enter through the main office and we will direct you where to go.

Tomorrow is Fall Picture Day. These pictures will be their yearbook picture. These pictures are not pre-order. You will get an order form sometime after pictures are taken.

The Hawkins County School District can receive designated funds each year from the federal government. To provide service once agreed upon to students who are eligible to receive special education services. These services include students who are currently being homeschooled or attend a private school in Hawkins County and are eligible for Special Education. The Hawkins County district is required to meet with the administrators of private institutions or parents who are currently home-schooling their children to discuss what services can be provided.
Our private school and notice for disabilities meeting is scheduled for October 10th, 2024 at 9:00 am at the Special Education Building, 200 North Depot Street Rogersville.
