Public Notice - Our Private School and notice for disabilities meeting is scheduled for April 17, 2025 at 9:00A.M. at the Special Education Building, 200 North Depot St. Rogersville, TN.
The Hawkins County School District can receive designated funds each year by the federal government to provide service once agreed upon to students who are eligible to receive special education services. These services include students who are currently being homeschooled or attend a private school in Hawkins County and are eligible for Special Education. The Hawkins County district is required to meet with the administrators of private institutions or parents who are currently home schooling their children in order to discuss what services can be provided.
The Hawkins County School District can provide services for special needs children and young adults, age 3 years to 21 years, who reside within the system's district. The State Board of Education Approved Textbooks are available for review on the Tennessee Department of Education website here. In addition, samples can be reviewed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.at McPheeters Bend School, 1115 Goshen Valley Road, Church Hill.

Early this afternoon, JRP went into a green lockdown. We had a safety concern arise, and I made the decision to move forward with a lockdown in order to keep all students in their classrooms. The concern was dealt with swiftly and our school day resumed to normal activities.
As always, safety is our number one priority, and we promise to keep all students safe at all times.

Additional inclusive early childhood opportunities are available for preschoolers who do not meet the income requirements.
