Mrs. Marshall's class enjoyed an ice cream sundae party celebrating completion of Aims Web testing.




Students in Mrs. Marshall’s class did a long and short vowel partner sort. They then did a “Write the Room” with long vowel and short vowels.



Walk to Learn students who met their goals in Walk to Learn got to celebrate today by throwing a "pie", punching a cup for prizes, and eating ice pops! Ms. Seals is so proud of her students for working so hard this year!










Ms. Vaughn and Mrs Mandi had Beach Day Book Club today with our students! They completed review work on Reading and Math with a beach theme and read ocean animal and beach theme books while enjoying some beachy areas of the classroom like a wading pool, under a beach umbrella, and sitting on large floats and listening to the calming sounds of tropical ocean waves. Students also had some cool treats like a popsicle and a beachy drink to enjoy!










Students in Mrs. Belt’s class and Ms. Mollie’s class took a trip to “Hawaii” today. They had to work together to complete 10 math challenges. Once completed, they got to participate in many fun Hawaiian themed activities!



We have 8 copies of our 2025-2026 yearbook left. They will be on sale until Wednesday, May 20th.

Students in Ms. Vaughn and Mrs. Mandi’s classes had Camp Read a Lot today. Students completed camping theme activities and assignments in reading and math classes. They each had their own special “tents” and got to eat S’mores, too!








Students in Ms. Vaughn’s and Mrs. Mandi’s classes ended their study of matter today by making chocolate no bake cookies in class. Students read a recipe and directions, helped put ingredients in a pot to make a mixture, then watched as heat changed the solids to a liquid. They also observed how the liquid changed form back into solid cookies as they cooled. Best of all, students got to eat their cookies! It was a fun learning project!







Due to Pre-K graduation, JRP will not have YMCA on Monday, May 18th.

Students in Ms. Vaughn and Mrs. Mandi’s classes had “Ice Cream Day” today. Students read texts about the history of how the ice cream cone and the ice cream freezer was invented. They also did some ELA and Math review with an ice cream theme. Plus, they got an ice cream treat too!

Don't forget that tomorrow, May 8th, is another opportunity to register in person for Kindergarten. We look forward to seeing you.
